Likes and Dislikes of IMED:
I enjoyed the different projects we had to put together. I learned a lot about media production and designing websites. I liked how you showed us example videos before we created our own to give us ideas on what our videos could look like. I also liked the broad subjects that were given to us for our projects because it allowed us to show our creativity. The only thing that I disliked about the class was the amount of time given to us to complete each project. Other than that, the class was very helpful, informative, and fun.

The Average Morning of a Clumsy Superhero

My idea for my mocumentary is to "document" the typical morning of a super hero. I am going to show how superheros struggle with everyday things that average humans go through routinely.

Our video theme is going to be "How to Be a Rapper". The people involved in this video are Alicia, Rayla, and Karen. We are going to have different instances mocking the stereotypical rapper.

My page is going to discuss the less acknowledged laws in the USA. On my home page I will have general information about what the website is about and different tabs that lead to the subsections of the website. These tabs consist of  "Laws", "New Bills", "About Us", "Contact", "Why Laws Exist", "The Bill of Rights", "Articles of the Constitution", and "Declaration of Independence". The "Laws" tab will discuss the less acknowledged laws in Texas, the "New Bills" tab will discuss the new bills drafted the either apply to Texas or the Nation as a whole, the "About Us" tab will discuss our purpose, the "Contact" tab is a means of communication between me and visitors of the site, the "Why Laws Exist" tab is an article over the significance of laws, the "Bill of Rights" tab is a copy of the American Bill of Rights, the "Articles of the Constitution" tab is a copy of the articles of the constitution, and the "Declaration of Independence" tab is a copy of the Declaration of Independence. All of these tabs will work together to better inform those who reside in this nation of the less acknowledged yet still relevant laws that they live under.

I did not like the idea of our future being completely computerized as it was in the google glass commercial. There are certain things in life that are meant to be experienced through reality and not through a computer instilled in contact lenses. There is a comforting connotation to the idea that you can actually see/touch the objects around you rather than them being generated hologram.

My website is going to be over the less acknowledged illicit activity that could lead to strenuous consequences for American Citizens.

This is a good web design because the tabs are clearly presented, the color scheme was planned out well, and the pictures coordinate with each other.

This is a good web design because the sections are tabs are clearly presented, there are not too many different things going on at the same time, and you can clearly see the purpose of the company through the website.

This website has a bad design because it is too busy, there are too many varying pictures that lack a common purpose, and you can't tell the purpose of the website from the home page.

I believe this website's layout is not well structured because it does not have organized tabs, it is too busy because of the multitude of colors, and it does not clearly state it's purpose on the homepage.

My favorite Photoshop projects from these two weeks were Photoshopping the head shots and creating a yearbook ad page. My favorite technique that we used was masking.

I believe the TED talk from Steven Johnson was more effective than the animated video he created because of the details that he was able to include in the talk. Through Johnson's drawn out speech, he was able to thoroughly explain the concept he developed as well as make better connections between his tales. The animated video that Johnson created wouldn't have been nearly as effective for me had I not watched his speech beforehand. Though I found the animated style to be more entertaining than his speech, I also found that it hindered his ability to connect with the audience and thoroughly portray his details.
